RESEARCH PROFILE & EXTRAMURAL FUNDING:

Dr. Thakur has been closely interacting with eminent scientists from BARC, BITS-Goa, and RRCAT-Indore. Her thrust area of research is to develop a hand-held MGM-TB Detection System (MGM- TBDS) in service of India, for which she received funds worth of Rs.50 lakh from Board of Research in Nuclear Science (BRNS).
In addition, she is actively working to understand the mechanisms, toxicity studies for various nanoparticles in zebrafish model. For the study using Homeopathy medicines she had received Rs.25 lakh rupees funds from BRNS.
Recently she has also received Rs. 76 Lakh rupees fund from Department of Health Research (DHR) for conducting training two types of National level for Molecular Diagnostics and Zebrafish studies.
She is also involved in spirituality and is a certified Heartfulness Meditation Trainer associated with various activities of Heartfulness Institute- not for profit organization providing services through various initiative Village connect (V-Connect), School connects (S-connect), Corporate connect (C- connect), plantation and Meditation Drive.
