RESEARCH PROFILE & EXTRAMURAL FUNDING:

Dr. Thakur has been closely interacting with eminent scientists from BARC, BITS-Goa, and RRCAT-Indore. Her thrust area of research is to develop a hand-held MGM-TB Detection System (MGM-TBDS) in service of India, for which she received funds worth Rs. 50 lakh from the Board of Research in Nuclear Science (BRNS).
In addition, she is actively working to understand the mechanisms and toxicity studies of various nanoparticles in the zebrafish model. For the study using Homeopathy medicines, she received Rs. 25 lakh funds from BRNS.
Recently, she also received Rs. 76 lakh funds from the Department of Health Research (DHR) for conducting two types of National-level training for Molecular Diagnostics and Zebrafish studies.
She is also involved in spirituality and is a certified Heartfulness Meditation Trainer associated with various activities of the Heartfulness Institute—a not-for-profit organization providing services through various initiatives such as Village Connect (V-Connect), School Connect (S-Connect), Corporate Connect (C-Connect), Plantation, and Meditation Drive.

Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at MGM School of Biomedical Sciences, a constituent unit of Mahatma Gandhi Missions Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai. His long-term research interests lie in the statistical applications in health sciences and advancing research in the field of statistics. His work primarily focuses on the analysis and applications of survival models, risk assessment, and machine learning. Presented his research findings at 05 International Conferences.
